The PAS Model .2500IAS Intelligent Actuator System is a high tonnage, precision, true closed-loop heatstaking machine
designed for production runs of medium to large sized parts.
Heatstaking and insertion makes use of direct contact heated tools and precisely controlled time, temperature, pressure and
cooling, to reform plastic studs, walls, and protrusions, or to embed metal components into plastic. This offers the ability to
perform multiple operations on several planes simultaneously. Cycle times are relatively fast, and productivity can be
increased through the assembly of multiple products. Cosmetics are so exceptional that heatstaking appears to be
an extension of the molding process.

System Controls
Hydraulic system controls.
Multiple distance function controls and checks all parameters of
system operation and is the primary control for all machine functions.
Overall cycle time monitors exactly how long it takes to make a complete part from initial start to head retracted.
Over process control alerts operator when the system takes too long to make a completed assembly.
Over distance control alerts operator to excess travel of machine head.
In-temperature feature checks system prior to every cycle to assure
proper operating temperature and can be adjusted in 1 degree increments
above and below temperature set point.
True system dwell time and freeze out cooling time destroy part memory and assure a tight assembly.
Machine setup menu allows operator to change the operating mode of
the system. Slide tables, freeze out cooling, part clamping and part
presence detecting can be turned on or off by a simple press of a
button.
Multiple job storage allows you to store operating parameters for fast, easy machine setup.
Multiple cycle counters, machine overall cycle counter and re-settable day counter.
Multi-zone temperature control capable up to twelve zones standard,
can be monitored and changed remotely via a RS232 communication port.
